About Ralph
Professor of Humanities, English and Theatre
My career as a professional educator began with one class in Humanities at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida. When offered a scholarship by the University of Nevada Las Vegas, I moved west to teach Acting and Theatre Appreciation while earning my MFA in Theatre Arts.
After graduate school I began teaching at The Theatre Academy of Los Angeles City College. Granted equivalencies in Humanities and English, I expanded my curriculum by teaching classes in those disciplines at Trade Tech and Valley Colleges. In order to accommodate a simultaneous career as a television writer-producer, I switched to evening and weekend instruction in adult education programs.
Joining the adjunct faculty at California State University Northridge in 2004, I taught six classes in Humanities per year while maintaining my evening and weekend schedule in the Los Angeles Community College District. When the adult education program was phased out, I returned to standard undergraduate instruction. My most recent positions were at Glendale Community College and Los Angeles Trade and Technical College in Humanities.
